It is with a heavy heart that we sadly announce the passing of a most revered and influential lady, loved dearly by our company. Beatrice Beck, 93, peacefully passed away while asleep on Jan, 9th, 2017.

Beatrice was an instrumental part of the early days at Bee Best Bee Removal. When Jeff Lutz first started his business, back in 1993, it was Beatrice Beck who hosted many of the rescued bee colonies. At times, she had over 50 hives on her large property in Del Mar.

In exchange for allowing the colonies on her land, Beatrice would reap the benefits of free unlimited honey. She was a woman who loved nature, cats,  honeybees, and the fresh ocean breezes that would flow onto her land. Like her Mother, she was an artist, painter, and a prolific poet.

Beatrice was born on June 4th, 1923. She was laid to rest at El Camino Cemetery in San Diego, California.

Blessed Be, Our Dearest Bea.
You are the lady, we miss so dearly.
We see you peaceful, at rest, and one with nature.
With kitty cats and honey bees,
witty poems, and bright colored paintings.
Blessed Be, our Dearest Bea.
Your memory lives on. You are missed by many.
