Hello dear readers.  This blog section of our website is usually dedicated to inform and educate people on bees and bee removal. Most of the blogs we post are about the who, what, when, where, and why of everything bee related. But every now and then we throw all that out the window. Sometimes we just like to have fun with it.

Take for example, the Halloween video we put together last year. Brizzy the German Shepherd Mix earned 2nd place at the Petco Halloween Costume Contest.

With that as our inspiration, we decided that this year, Brizzy the Queen needed some colony members to accompany her. Without further adieu, we are proud to present our new company mascot: The Bee Best Swarm.

At the center is Brizzy the Queen Bee. She is the queen because the rest of her swarm are devoted to her. They particularly like receiving kisses on the head and will often walk up to her with the hopes of receiving some attention.

Like most swarms, this colony is predominately female. There is however one male drone in our Bee Best swarm. His name is Houdini. He is a big boy and very cuddly. Like most drones he does not partake in a lot of the work. His favorite past time is to sleep all day in the sun.

The youngest member of the colony is pretty Blanca. She is a mischievous little worker bee that is always on the lookout. Her favorite past time is chasing Houdini.

The eldest member of the swarm is also the tiniest. Weighing only 5.5 pounds, Bitty is half the size of the other worker bees in the colony. She may be 18 years old, but she always makes sure to remind the humans when it’s feeding time.

The last member of our swarm is the show stopper we call Baby. Some say she is stuck up because she thinks she is a purebred. Although she may look like a beauty queen, the truth of the matter is that Baby is just a real down to earth sweetie. Her favorite past time is sharing the dog bed with Queen Brizzy.

Ok, so by now you undoubtedly can tell that this blog is just an excuse to show off our cute cats in bee costumes. We actually had hoped to make a video with all the cats is their costumes surrounding Brizzy the Queen. That did not go so well. Let’s just say that the rest of the colony were not eager to show off their outfits. For now the video idea must be put on permanent hold and the photos will have to suffice.

If you are eager to check out a video of cute pets in their Halloween costumes, take a look at the video we made last year.
